Practices

Rollings Hills Moravian Church is a community of faith whose members know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; grow in faith, love and hope; and show the love of Christ to others in word and deed.

[The church is] the place where God's fellowship with humanity becomes a reality.

A Church is and remains a living one when it:
  •  
    		•  is attentive to God's Word,
  •  
    		•  confesses its sins and accepts forgiveness for them,
  •  
    		•  seeks and maintains fellowship with its Lord and Redeemer by means of the sacraments,
  •  
    		•  places its whole life under His rule and aily leading,
  •  
    		•  ministers to its neighbors and seeks fellowship with all who confess Christ,
  •  
    		•  proclaims to the world the tidings concerning the Savior,
  •  
    		•  awaits wholeheartedly the coming of its Lord as King.

    In our baptism, God invites us and provides the resources for us to live and continually grow as "new creations" in Christ.

    Our new lives as disciples of Jesus Christ are lived in three key areas:

    Community,
    Mission, and
    Spiritual Growth.

    God can use many practices of faith to bless us; enrich us; help us to "grow in faith, love, and hope"; and bring us to the fullness of live Christ intends for all his disciples.

    Practices

    		•  Participate in the community of faith at all levels:
    Worship and Celebration
    Task/Learning/Support Groups
    One-to-one relationships.
  •  
    		•  Engage in personal Bible study, reflection, and prayer.
  •  
    		•  Develop a Personal Mission Plan.

    Explore the opportunities in daily life to love God and our neighbor, and to share Christ's mission to "make disciples".

    Our Church Board suggests the following ways to benefit fully from these practices. The Board is committed to helping everyone in our community of faith:

    		•  Worship regularly (more than once a month).
  •  
    		•  Be a faithful member of at least one small group.
  •  
    		•  read and reflect on Scripture and pray each day.
  •  
    		•  Make a Personal Mission Plan each year.
  •  
    		•  Join in a yearly covenant to follow these practices.
